Mr. Andrzej Pieczonka

Mr. Andrzej Pieczonka holds at present the post of the Consul for Economic Affairs in the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Hong Kong . He has arrived to Hong Kong in June 2003. His professional career combines the activities in the business sector with many years of experiences in diplomacy. In early nineties Mr. A. Pieczonka served as the Commercial Attaché in the Embassy of Poland in Kuwait. As the Director for Exports of one of the Polish investment companies he used to travel a lot and he is very familiar with the majority of the Asian countries.

Introduction

The presentation of the theme will compromise the variety of fields Poland cooperates in with Hong Kong and Macao . The stress will be particularly put on trade, achievements in culture and outstanding tourist attractions. Apart from the basic facts, statistics and historical background the Speaker will present broad introduction and comments to the bilateral relations between these two distant places. Since December is a very special month of Christmas time the ways Polish families celebrate the holidays will also be briefly described. Some practical remarks for those of the participants who think of visiting Poland will be outlined. The listeners will also have a chance to ask questions of their particular interest. The participants will be provided with the brochures and broad printed information about Poland.
